Good to know
- In winter, school holiday weeks are the most expensive and the busiest: aim for January, March or the start of the season.
- Summer and autumn often bring gentler rates and plenty of activities: hiking, mountain biking, rafting or via ferrata.
- Many resort hotels close between seasons, from late April to June and in October and November: check they are open before setting your date.
- TGV to a valley station, then a coach transfer: your project manager organises the journey from start to finish.
- If the programme includes half a day of skiing, add equipment hire and lift passes to the budget.
- Mountain roads require winter equipment: an organised transfer spares attendees from driving.
