Séminaire à la Montagne

Séminaire à la Montagne: your questions

How does Séminaire à la Montagne work?

You describe your mountain project (dates, number of participants, preferred range, budget). We contact partner hotels, chalets and seminar centres, and their quotes land in your client area. Free, with no commitment.

Is the service free?

Yes, free for you: the mountain venues pay us. The rates you receive are the same as booking directly, with no mark-up.

Why hold your seminar in the mountains?

Altitude changes a group's rhythm: a complete change of scene, clean air, outdoor activities all year round and large accommodation capacity on a single site. In winter as in summer, the mountains combine work and team spirit without endless transfers.

How quickly do I get quotes?

The first proposals usually reach your client area within 24 hours, even in the middle of the ski season.

Can I compare several resorts and venues?

Yes. We approach several venues, often in different ranges (Alps, Pyrenees, Jura, Vosges, Massif Central), and your client area lets you compare rates, capacity and services at a glance.

Which activities can be added to a mountain seminar?

Skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, sledging, hiking, via ferrata, canyoning, downhill mountain biking, spa: most of our partners run these in house or through local providers. If not, we find them for you.

Can we get preferential rates?

Yes. Putting several venues in competition moves prices, and we negotiate on your behalf, especially outside school holidays when the mountains offer their best terms.

Do you centralise payments?

We centralise the tracking of your file and documents (quotes, approval forms, invoices). Payment is made to the venue, on instalments negotiated in advance.

Which mountain range should I choose?

Start with access: high-speed rail station, airport, transfer time to the resort. The Northern Alps suit groups coming from Lyon or Geneva, the Pyrenees those from the south-west, the Jura and Vosges departures from eastern France and Paris. Season and planned activities then decide.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of participants?

It depends on the venue: a chalet available for exclusive use often takes 15 to 40 people, a resort hotel several hundred. Full exclusive use usually requires a minimum number of nights or participants.

Can we visit the venue before booking?

Yes, and it is particularly advisable in the mountains, where access, the height difference between buildings and snow cover change the logistics. The venue arranges the visit and answers your questions on site.

What are the cancellation terms?

They are the venue's own terms, stated on the quote before signature. In the mountains they vary widely between high and low season; we help you obtain more flexible conditions.
